JK takes two front row starts for FPA Challenge.

BRDC Rising Star Jonathan Kennard begins his assault on the 2004 Visma Software Formula Palmer Audi Championship from the top, with two front row starts in tomorrow's opening two rounds at Brands Hatch.  The 18 year-old from Tunbridge Wells in Kent, who romped to victory in the end-of-season FPA Autumn Trophy posted the second quickest time for tomorrow's first race, and stepped it up a gear to take pole position for the second.

The youngster in only his second season of senior motor racing following two years in the BRSCC T-Cars Championship, clinched victory in the penultimate round of the main series last year and remains confident of matching that in both tomorrow's races at the Kent track.

The nature of the startline at Brands may well go in his favour in the first race; the track is renowned for favouring the driver on the outside of the front row especially in the wet, although Jonathan is keeping his tactics firmly to his chest.  "You never know at Brands Hatch where the best place is to start from, it can all depend so much on the weather and rain is expected tomorrow morning.  If that's the case I'm glad to be out in front so I can avoid the spray.

"As for my tactics, well I won't say too much at the moment, but I do plan to get a good start, get out in front early on and hopefully make it a double."

The first of tomorrow's two races at the Kent track takes place at 11.05 with the second in the afternoon starting at 15.00.
