Kennard optimistic after successful test
Jonathan Kennard and the Alan Docking Racing Team are in high spirits after a very productive test at Pembrey last week. In the test the team were able to try a number of new set-up ideas and work towards a good basis for the upcoming race at Pau next weekend.
‘Pau will demand a very different set-up to Donington, we were able to replicate the requirements of a street track at Pembrey well. I am confident that the car will be strong and that we will be able to challenge for a good result,' explained Jonathan.
The 2004 Formula Palmer Audi Champion and BRDC McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the Year Finalist has been pleased with the recent progress made. ‘It was satisfying to get some dry testing at Pembrey in preparation for Pau. We have also made modifications to my seating position in the car, which I believe caused my back problems at Donington.'
‘The whole team has been putting in a huge effort to make sure we continue to move forward. I have never had the opportunity to race on a street circuit before, it will be a steep learning curve on which I am eager to make a start.'
The races at Pau will be on Sunday 4th and Monday 5th June.
