BRDC Rising Star and McLaren Autosport BRDC finalist Jonathan Kennard is working towards competing in the Avon Tyres British Formula 3 Championship this year following a successful test programme over the winter.  The 19 year-old Visma Software Formula Palmer Audi Champion is hopeful of competing in the revamped National Class and is currently finalising plans as the winter testing ban gets underway.

“We had a few good tests before Christmas,” said Jonathan. “And Formula 3 is where I really want to be in 2005. Being nominated for the Autosport award was a great boost obviously and although we haven't yet secured the full budget required to compete in the National Class, we're optimistic that we can capitalise on the successes from last season to ensure we can take on a full championship campaign this year.” 

Now though Jonathan is making preparations to attend the 2005 Autosport International, the world's number 1 racing car show, which takes place at Birmingham's NEC next week (January 13-16).
