Jonathan Kennard was denied the chance to race on the spectacular Spa-Francorchamps circuit after both British Formula International Series races were abandoned on safety grounds due to the adverse weather.
The Belgian track, high in the Ardennes has often struggled with torrential rain, but yesterday's third round and today's fourth rounds of the premier British championship were cancelled due to fog. Both races will be rescheduled for later in the season and will be run according to the qualifying positions already established this weekend.
It's disappointing of course,†said Jonathan after the decision. “But it was definitely the best decision. You're doing 150 in some places here and that's no fun when you can't see where you're going!â€
Now the 19 year-old McLaren Autosport BRDC finalist and BRDC Rising Star from Tunbridge Wells will have to wait until May 8th for the next two rounds which take place at Croft, North Yorkshire.
