BRDC Rising Star Jonathan Kennard heads to the famous Monza
track in Italy this weekend for rounds 3 and 4 of the Visma
Software Formula Palmer Audi Championship determined to put the
disappointment of the opening rounds at Brands behind him.
The reigning FPA Autumn Trophy winner from Tunbridge Wells, Kent
struggled with a steering problem in the opening rounds at the Kent
track but despite that picked up two superb second places, although
he was understandably disappointed not to start the season with
victory. With the steering problem now rectified following
the Brands rounds, the 18 year-old now heads to the historic Grand
Prix track full of confidence and optimistic about his chances to
open his 2004 race winning account.
"The problem I had at Brands was so severe, it was actually a
struggle to keep the car on the track, so two second places were a
real boost, although race wins is really what I'm after. Now
that we've solved the problem, I'll be going all out for double
victory at Monza and looking forward to a continued battle with Rob
Jenkinson."
The youngster, who ended last year's series on a high with his
maiden victory in the penultimate round, went on to clinch the
winter series in dominant style and is now determined to win this
year's summer series for his new sponsors Aedas Architects.
