The following year he embarked on a season in Formula Palmer Audi where he finished sixth overall and finished the season on a high with victory in the penultimate round of the year. His results in the season finale led him into the Autumn Trophy, a four-round mini series featuring the best of the following year's up and coming stars. His campaign started well with double pole in the first two rounds, a win and second place in the races. In the final two races he followed that up with third place and his second win to take the crown.
